Established in 2020, Trick Switch was founded based on these years of experience. Meet the Team

Owner/Founder

Sim Davis

Sim Davis is the founder of Trick Switch and the co-owner of Trick Switch Okanagan. Sim is an ex professional Wakeboarder with over 35 years experience in the waterski, wake surf and wakeboard industry. Sim has worked with dozens of schools around the world, including the US, Australia, Muskoka, British Columbia and the Caribbean.

Jake Lamb

Jake is the co-owner of Trick Switch Okanagan. Jake has become a vital player in the development of watersports programs and athlete development in Canada. Jake is a very talented multisport athlete including wakeboarding, wake surfing and foiling which he brings to his coaching ability.

Head Coach

Mackayla Petrie

Mackayla is Trick Switch's Head Coach. She is integral to the development of multiple watersports programs Canada wide. Mackayla has been leading the charge for Women in watersports for over a decade. She is also a Canadian champion Wakeboarder and has talents that go beyond into wakesurfing and foiling.

What services does Trick Switch offer?

We cover all aspects of wake sports including Wakeboarding, Wakesurfing, Wake foiling and water skiing. Our sessions generally include 2 coaches for the duration of the lesson, depending on the lesson needs. We conduct an assessment of each individual rider to determine skill level and ability before constructing a custom lesson plan within each session. Our sessions don't stop there. We are all about safety, knowledge and service. We supply advice on boat purchasing, set up and basic maintenance. You will receive advice on driving techniques for various disciplines, as well as tips on boating etiquette. Anything boating and watersports, we have you covered.

Where do you offer lessons?

We are based in the Kelowna/Vernon area but if you are based in BC, we will make sure to find a way to you, no matter what. We also service the rest of North America on request. Keep in mind that surcharges may apply depending on your location. You can find our rates and travel surcharges on our Rates page.

What is your cancellation policy?

How many people can we bring?

As many as your boat is licensed to carry, including the coaches of course. Our rates are not based on passenger or student numbers so bring as many as you would like.

Due to demand, we require 48 hours for all cancellations. We operate in all conditions as long as it is safe to do so. Therefore, weather must be extreme for us to cancel such lessons. Full payments will be retained for lessons cancelled within this 48 hour period. We will always do our best to accommodate cancellations under extenuating circumstances so it's always best to discuss these with our team.
