About Us
With over 35 years of professional riding and coaching experience, Trick Switch offers the very best in watersports advice. Established in 2020, Trick Switch was founded based on these years of experience. Our main location is based in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada but have worked in dozens of other locations around the world including the US, Caribbean, Australia and Muskoka.

What services does Trick Switch offer?
We cover all aspects of wakesports, including wakeboarding, wakesurfing, wake foiling, and waterskiing. Most sessions include two coaches and begin with an individual assessment to create a tailored lesson plan for each rider. Beyond coaching, we focus on safety, knowledge, and service—offering guidance on boat purchasing, setup, maintenance, driving techniques, and boating etiquette. Anything boating and watersports, we’ve got you covered.

Where do you offer lessons?
We are based in the Kelowna/Vernon area but if you are based in BC, we will make sure to find a way to you, no matter what. We also service the rest of North America on request. Keep in mind that surcharges may apply depending on your location. You can find our rates and travel surcharges on our Rates page.
What is your cancellation policy?

Due to demand, we require 48 hours for all cancellations. We operate in all conditions as long as it is safe to do so. Therefore, weather must be extreme for us to cancel such lessons. Full payments will be retained for lessons cancelled within this 48 hour period. We will always do our best to accommodate cancellations under extenuating circumstances so it's always best to discuss these with our team.

How many people can we bring?

For our private session you can bring as many as your boat is licensed to carry, including the coaches of course. Our rates are not based on passenger or student numbers so bring as many as you would like.

For our OK Swell charter service, we recommend a maximum of 10 guests.
Why do you bring two coaches on all lessons?

What is your cancellation policy?
Our coaches are trained to work in unison with each other. Coach and driver. Certain coaching techniques require a specific amount of input from the driver. This is also a great way for boat owners to observe and learn from so they can use our professional techniques when our coaches aren't around.
